Overview

Our rising K-12 grade day camp program offers a limited number of partial scholarships. We ask families to contribute what they can towards the cost of the camp with our camp program covering the remaining balance.

How to apply:

1. Click on the “>” beside “Scholarship Application 2026” at the bottom of this webpage. 

2. Click on the “+” beside the “Partial Scholarship Application.”

3. Click on the blue hyperlink, “Register for session” at the bottom, right of the page.

4. Create an account in Amilia, our online registration system. "Sign Up" prompt is located at the bottom of the “Log In” box.

• Add the first and last name of the guardian creating the account in Amilia. Create a password and click on the blue box "Create account."

5. Click on “Add another person” to start registering your child. After you add your child, click on the blue box next to the child’s name and select the “Checkout” box.

• If you want to apply for a scholarship for more then one child, complete the first child’s application before returning to the “Select participants” box to add the second child.

6. Select the “Proceed to checkout” at the bottom, right of the page.

7. Fill out legal guardian information and proceed to “Payment” box at the bottom, right of the page.

8. Complete the application.

• You can choose a camp from our Summer Camps List, https://naturalsciences.org/calendar/summer-camps-list/. Grade levels stated in camp descriptions are for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
• Determine how much you will contribute to the camp’s tuition. Minimum contribution is $25.00.
• Optional: you can add a second legal guardian to your account.

 9. On the “Order: 1 item” page, click on the “Proceed to checkout” at the bottom right of the page.

• Complete the checkout process.

10. Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will see a confirmation of registration summary.   

Deadline:

Deadline to apply is 5:00pm, Wednesday, January 7.

Selection Process:

All eligible applicants will be entered into a lottery drawing. All scholarship applicants will be notified by email on or before Friday, January 30.

If awarded a scholarship, recipients who accept, must complete the emailed registration link and make their payment with a MasterCard, VISA, or Discover Card by Friday, January 30.

Notice to children and guardians

If you are under age 13 and you wish to participate in certain events or exhibits at, conducted by, or sponsored by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, your parent or guardian must register you and provide their consent as well as your information. Please ask your parent or guardian to fill out your online registration form or any other forms requesting your information.
