Description :

Learn about Kinusaiga! It's a traditional Japanese art form of “painting with fabric” or “no-sew quilting.” With this beginner Kinusaiga style project, you will create a mosaic-like image by carving a design into a 6” x 6” foam base and tucking colourful fabric scraps into the grooves.

Designs will be provided for you, so no drawing skills needed. Choose one of the following options: 

Pumpkin, Jack-o-lantern, Cute ghosts, Sunrise, Mountain view or Mushroom! Participants will receive an email the week before the workshop to confirm which design they'd like to make, to give the instructor enough time to get the right materials.

 

Age: 13+ (minors must be accompanied by an adult)

Class size: 10 participants max

Location: Triwood's Boardroom (through the front entrance up the stairs to the right). 

Materials: All included! Your ticket includes your own foam board, doable adhesive sheets and fabric scraps. You'll be working primarily with scissors, utility knives, fabric pins and orange peeler or something similar. 

Additional food and drinks are available for purchase from JT's Pub downstairs, open 5pm - 9pm!
