Waiver

REFUND POLICY

Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance at a scheduled class. Refunds are only provided to parents if requested 4 weeks prior to the class start date. We may provide you credit towards future sessions on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to see if you qualify for such credits.

CANCELLATIONS

Wize Computing Academy reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Parents will be given a 1 week notice on a camp with low enrollment. If a class is cancelled, we will reschedule the child to another class or a full refund will be made to the paying parent.

LATE FEE FOR IN-PERSON PROGRAMS

A late charge of $5 per 10 minutes will be assessed for students not picked up within 10 minutes after the program ends.

DISMISSAL POLICY FOR IN-PERSON PROGRAMS

Authorized Parents/Caregivers must sign children out of programs. The only people that your child will be released to are those listed on your information form. All persons authorized to pick up students must be at least 16 years of age. If someone other than a parent will pick up your child, please give us prior written notice. If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must call Wize Academy or the school to allow another adult to pick up the child or send a signed note of authorization with that person.

CLASS CONDUCT

Class rules are followed in order to ensure the physical and emotional safety of each participant, as well as the facilitator, and for the protection of host location property. Students are expected to know, be willing and able to exhibit appropriate classroom behaviors. Wize Computing Academy® reserves the right to release, without refund of program fees, any child whose behavior becomes unmanageable. This action will not be taken without verbal and written warnings. Wize Computing Academy highly discourage students from bringing any personal LEGO® parts to classes. Wize Computing Academy is not responsible for damages or loss of any personal property while at a class. In case of a child misbehaving and wilfully destroying company’s (Wize Computing Academy) or host location’s (School, Montessori, Community Centre, etc.) property (Equipment like tablets, taptops, robotic kits, etc), the child and their guardian/parents will be responsible for the repairs or replacements.

CONSENT OF PHOTOGRAPHY

I do hereby consent and agree that Wize Computing Academy has the right to take photographs of my child and to use these on the company website and promotional material without compensation. Your child’s name and identity will not be revealed. If you would prefer we do not photograph your child please notify us via email: info-nn@wizeacademy.com.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being permitted to attend Wize Computing Academy programs, on behalf of myself, my family, my heirs, and my assigns, I hereby release Wize Computing Academy, its agents, and its employees from liability for injury, loss, or death to the above-mentioned participant while using any facility or equipment or in any way associated with participating in the Wize Computing Academy program now or in the future, resulting from the ordinary negligence of Wize Computing Academy, its agents and employees.

EMERGENCIES OR ILLNESS

I understand that: The program will attempt to contact me or an authorized person listed on my child's registration form. If the Wize Computing Academy® (WCA) staff is unable to reach me or my designee, I hereby authorize WCA staff to take whatever action is reasonable to provide the necessary help for my child, including contacting emergency medical services or transporting my child to a medical facility.

THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM

I understand that this registration system is provided by Wize Computing Academy for my benefit and the benefit of the organization sponsoring the event I am registering for. I understand that Wize Computing Academy does not sell, rent, or share my information with anyone else. I also understand that Wize Computing Academy is not liable for the way this information is used by the organizers or any third-party that might get access to this information.

ONLINE SESSIONS

We may use third party services like Zoom.us to conduct online sessions. Such third parties may collect user information, we have no control over their collection of data.

If you post Personal Information in a comment or to an online session or chat window/room, we may collect the information you post. Posted information is also available for viewing and disclosure by other users, and we have no control over such use. We discourage posting sensitive or Personal Information in comments as they are viewable by the public.

CLASS RECORDINGS

Classes that take place with Wize Computing Academy may be recorded by the teacher. We value student and teacher privacy, and our use of class recordings is extremely limited. These recordings may be shared with parents or used for training purposes. By using the services, you consent to you and/or your child appearing in Class Recordings for the limited purposes set forth above.
