Description:
To deepen the impact of the Village of Flossmoor’s annual MLK Jr. Day of Service, this 90-minute community workshop will enhance community engagement by creating an intentional space for education, reflection, and shared learning. Rooted in Dr. King’s vision of justice, dignity, and collective responsibility, the workshop moves beyond awareness toward action. Participants will gain practical tools to communicate across differences, deepen empathy, and engage in respectful, productive conversations, both within the community and in their daily lives. This 90-minute interactive, facilitator-led workshop is designed to complement service projects by inviting participants into thoughtful dialogue around equity, inclusion, and community belonging.
