Description:
Plunge into the mysteries of the ocean at Nanaimo Science's Ocean Explorers Camp! This hands-on day camp introduces kids to marine biology and environmental science through engaging, interactive activities. From exploring ocean acidification to creating Gyotaku fish prints, campers will dive deep into the science of the sea. They'll also get hands-on with a dissection and microscopes, uncovering the hidden wonders of marine life.
We’ll balance screen time with active play, including a nature walk to the lake for fresh air and inspiration.
Lunch/recess will be held outdoors when weather permits, which will include a walk to Long Lake (approximately 15 minutes each way, on side roads). While this is a primarily indoor camp, students must bring appropriate outerwear for recess/lunch.
Runs from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Families must provide their own snacks and lunches.
