Description:
Celebrate the wonders of spring at Nanaimo Science’s Spring Into Science! day camp! This hands-on camp explores the science behind the season through exciting experiments and interactive activities. Campers will investigate seed sprouting, explore the life cycles of insects, and check out the mysteries of changing weather. They’ll also create colourful chromatography rainbows, discover the role of pollinators in nature and more!
We’ll balance indoor time with outside exploration, including a nature walk to observe signs of spring in the environment.
Lunch/recess will be held outdoors when weather permits, which will include a short walk to Long Lake (approximately 15 minutes each way, on side roads). While this is a primarily indoor camp, students must bring appropriate outerwear for recess and lunch.
Runs from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Families must provide their own snacks and lunches.
