A crime has been committed. Do you have what it takes to bring the perpetrator to justice? Law & Order camp is an opportunity for students interested in the law, public speaking, or theater to learn about advocacy and the justice system by presenting a mock trial. Participants will collaborate to prepare the trial from the perspectives of both the prosecution and the defense, playing roles of attorneys, witnesses, and investiagtors.

Together participants will develop trial strategies, prepare questions, and write opening and closing statements based on a fact pattern. Bring your imagination and enthusiasm to help restore Law & Order!

Required age: 11 - 15 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Families will receive more information after June 1 and then a Welcome email on the Wednesday before the program week. Lunch hour is included. Please send a snack, lunch and refillable water bottle. Avoid high allergy foods.

Prerequisites: This program is best for youth who have completed 6th grade through rising 9th graders.
