What Is Munchkins In Motion?

An unmounted horsemanship program for all children ages 4-12 years old, that follows the Stride to Success learning model that introduces equestrian activities accessible to all abilities.

Children will have the opportunity to develop relationships with horses and humans and increase their sense of belonging in an integrated environment.  In addition, the practice of horsemanship offers a variety of motor activities.

The program will run for eight weeks, with each session having an indoor classroom portion and an outdoor unmounted equestrian section.

Why Horses?

Horses are prey animals and naturally mirror the
thoughts and behaviour of others. They respond quickly to our body language, giving participants instant feedback on their actions and allowing connections to develop more easily. Horses are large, powerful animals that can challenge participants to overcome fear and expand their comfort zones. As a result, they gain confidence, empowerment, and self-esteem.

NOTE: If the participant requires 1-on-1 support, a parent or guardian will need to accompany them for the duration of the program.
