Date de début : jeudi, 11 juin 2026.

Horaire :

 Le jeudi, 10 h 00 - 12 h 00 ,

Responsable : Audra Bullard

Description :

There are countless books dedicated to ranking the best political speeches in
American history. This presentation focuses on the opposite. We will examine moments when political speakers might have wanted to “have that one back.” Sometimes the mistakes were fatal for their careers. In other instances, these failures have quickly faded from memory. Public speaking failures, like public speaking successes, are not partisan. Each section of the presentation will include examples from across the political spectrum including some of our greatest orators like Presidents Reagan, Obama, and even Lincoln. We will use Aristotle’s Ethos, Logos, and Pathos to examine these speech failures.

Presenter: Jarrod Atchison
