Hours:

Camp hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm with an After Camp Care option from 4:00-5:00pm. 

Registration: 

Registration must be completed by a legal guardian. A guardian may reference the membership number of the grandparent’s Family level (or higher) membership.

Important Notice:

Guardian(s), emergency contact, and authorized pick-up name on the registration form must match the name on their government issued i.d. 

Enrollment and refund:

Each child can enroll in up to 2 weeks of day camp. The Museum will cancel any excess registration. NCMNS can grant refunds only when a cancellation is received before 5:00pm, May 1. A 13% processing fee per refund is required. Cancellations received after May 1st may not be eligible for a refund.

How to register for a camp or wait list:

1. Log into Amilia, our registration system. You will either have to create a new account or log into your existing account.

• Depending on if you have an account in Amilia, the log in box to either create an account or log into an existing account may appear as step #1 or after you complete step #2.

2. Register one child at a time. Select a camp from the list below and then the week of camp by clicking on “Register for session.”

• If registration for a camp had filled, instead of “Register for a session” you will see “Join session wait list.” In the next screen, select your child’s name, enter in the guardian’s email address and phone number. Select the blue “Add to wait list” button. Your child has been added to the camp’s wait list.

3. “Select participant to register” pop-up box will appear.

• Add your child to your account: Select “Add another person” to add your child to your account.
• If your child is registered to your account: Select the child’s name you are currently registering for camp.

Under your child’s name, you have the option to pay full price or select installment price.

Select blue “Continue to shop” button if you want to add another camp or After Camp Care to your child’s cart.

Select blue “Checkout” button if you are ready to continue to check out.

4. A pop-up box, entitled, “Frequently bought together” will allow you to add After Camp Care to your child’s week of camp. More information about our After Camp Care can be found on our FAQ webpage.

Click on the blue “Continue” button to advance to the next section.

5. On the “Friends of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences page, in the drop-down box, select your Friends of the Museum membership level or if you are not a current member.

Click on the blue “Continue to cart” button.

6. On the “Order” page, be sure to check the box agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, located at the bottom right of the webpage, before clicking on the blue “Proceed to checkout” button.

7. Complete the camper’s registration form.

• Guardian, emergency contact, and authorized pick-up names should match the name on their government issued id.
• Authorized pick-up: you can authorize someone, other than the child’s legal guardian(s) to pick up the child.
• Optional: you can add a second legal guardian to your child’s account.
• Emergency contact: cannot be same as the child’s guardian(s) on the registration form.

8. On the “Payment” screen, to apply your scholarship discount, select the second bullet with the amount you are contributing. If the payment does not match your financial contribution on this email, do not complete the registration process, and send an email to summercamps@naturalcsiences.org.

Making your online payment using either your banking account, MasterCard, VISA, or Discover Card. Click on blue “Pay now” button.

9. “Confirmation” page will appear once your payment had been processed and your child’s registration is completed. The information on the “Confirmation” page will be automatically emailed to you with a receipt.
