Shirley Render is former Executive Director of the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Historical Preservation and Promotion, recipient of the YM/YWCA Women of Distinction Award, and has been named to Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame.

She has authored two published books on aviation history: Double Cross: The Inside Story of James A. Richardson and Canadian Airways and No Place for a Lady: the Story of Canadian Women Pilots, 1928-1992.
