6 HOUR WORKSHOP

Learn a unique and interesting way to add imagery OVER enamel by using decals. Using old documents, photographs and text can easily be fused onto the top of enamel for an interesting and beautiful effect. In this workshop, students will learn how to make their own custom decals using Photoshop, as well as the best way to print them. Surface preparation, application, firing time, and painting will come next. Adding enamel watercolors, graphite and micron pens will be explored for added value. This is a great class if you love enamel and want to find simple and effective ways to add imagery. Each student will receive a sheet of decal paper, paint brushes, a micron pen, and graphite pen, and various metal sheets. Students will create a pair of earrings or pendants as well as samples.
