Description :
Discover the Amazing World of Invertebrates! Invertebrates are the largest and most diverse group of animals in the ocean—and they are the creatures we are most likely to encounter in Duxbury Bay! During this exciting week, participants will get their hands wet as we explore local habitats in search of fascinating animals like sponges, sea squirts, marine worms, crabs, lobsters, jellyfish, and, if we’re lucky, sea stars and sand dollars! To cap off the week, students will journey to the New England Aquarium, where they’ll learn about the unique invertebrates found in the Pacific Northwest, the Amazon Rainforest, and the Indo-Pacific Coral Reef. This program includes a field trip to the New England Aquarium, traveling by the MBTA Hingham Ferry. Please note: Adjustments to the program schedule may be required to accommodate the field trip.
