Our 2023 Summer Saber Camp is open to all fencers 12 or older who are interested in improving their technical and tactical fencing skills. The camp is coached by Manitoba Head Coach, Ayach Bounachada. Ayach brings a wealth of experience as coach of all three weapons in Winnipeg for 20 years. His athletes have won numerous national and NAC medals and he's had three saber fencers on the national team (Max Stearns, Adrien Sparling and Katy Lupien) as well as some foil and epee national team athletes. Our coach, Elya Perritt, will be working with Ayach. Elya was a 7-time national champion in multiple weapons and has been coaching for 20 years and has coached junior and senior national team members, and multiple college athletes in Canada and USA.

Camp activities include mobility/strength work, footwork, technical and tactical drills, situational bouting and competitive bouting. Regardless of whether you are a young athlete looking to improve your basic skills, a young athlete preparing the Canadian Nationals, or a competitive athlete preparing for a World Cup, we look forward to welcoming you at EPIC.

Ages: 12+ (Fencers will be divided by age/experience on day one)
 

Dates: Tuesday Aug 8th - Saturday Aug 11th*

Time: 9am-4pm

*Saturday August 12th, we are looking to host a saber coaching clinic. Athletes are invited and encouraged to attend as practice students at no additional cost. More information TBD
