Description:
This is a more focused workshop geared towards those interested in gaining industry-standard knowledge that will help them enter the professional field of comics, whether as an artist, writer, or any other position. This workshop teaches fundamentals such as composition, panel-to-panel reading, and page design. Some level of drawing skills might be helpful but is not necessary as this class is less focused on artistic skills and is instead focused on critical thinking, problem-solving, and understanding the approach and principles that go into creating a mainstream comic page. Attendees will leave this class with a clear understanding of basic design principles, improved literacy in the field of sequential arts, and invaluable knowledge guaranteed to inform and strengthen their approach to creating a comic page. All materials are provided in the cost of this workshop.
