Join us at MadeBy for a unique Date Night experience where couples will create a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece together. You’ll work with a large, hand-thrown ceramic vase and have the opportunity to decorate it however you choose, making it a truly personal and meaningful creation.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Enjoy wine and indulge in delicious Swiss chocolates, all while the soft glow of the studio and gentle music set a cozy atmosphere for a memorable evening.
• Learn about the science and artistry used to create our in-house artisan clay, and watch our master potter demonstrate how raw clay is transformed into beautiful creations. 
• Take your turn at the potter’s wheel, exploring the sensations of forming wet, soft clay together.  
• After you’ve had a chance to play, our master potter will provide a large, hand-thrown soft vase for each couple to personalize into your own unique piece. 
• Capture the Moment with a Hug: For something extra special, embrace each other with the vase placed between you. This intimate hug will capture the imprint of your arms and bodies, leaving a unique, personal mark on the clay—a symbol of your connection that will last forever.

What to Expect:

• Create Together: Work side-by-side with your partner to customize a hand-thrown large vase prepared by our master potter, just for you.
• Messy but Fun: Pottery can get a little messy, so come prepared to get creative and enjoy the process!
• Take Home a Beautiful Keepsake: After firing and glazing, we will contact you when your vase is ready for pickup (about two weeks). It will make a stunning addition to your home, as well as a lasting memory of your special night.

 

What to Wear:

Pottery can get a bit messy! We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Some couples even leave a special mark on the vase by sharing a hug with the vase placed between them. Clay is natural and washes off easily with soap and water, but we suggest bringing a towel for your car in case you leave traces of clay on your clothes after the workshop.

Notes: ***Celebrate Valentine's Day together—one ticket provides entry for two people.*** Workshop Disclaimer Please note that during our workshops, participants will only be creating their pieces out of clay. Additional time is required for the clay to fully dry before the pieces can be kiln-fired and glazed. This process ensures the durability and quality of your creations. After the workshop, our team will handle the firing and glazing of your pieces. Once completed, we will notify you when your finished items are ready for pickup. This process typically takes 2–3 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the pieces. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we complete these essential steps to bring your pottery to life!

Prerequisites: Beginner-Friendly: No prior pottery experience is needed—this workshop is designed for everyone, from first-timers to seasoned creators.
