Meet live birds of prey; falcons, hawks, and owls for a fun and informative discussion. Discover different physical adaptations and behaviors in a close-up, family-friendly program. Likely feathered guests include a Peregrine falcon, Red red-tailed hawk, Barn owl, and a Burrowing owl.
Charles Gailband is a licensed falconer and a Certified Interpretive Guide, specializing in nature education. After decades of experience with animal care in the zoological field, wildlife rehabilitation, and conservation projects, he has many stories to share. Charles was part of the pioneering efforts to breed and reintroduce the endangered Light-footed Ridgway’s Rail in Southern California. He currently works as a manager in Parks and Recreation where he continues to share his passion for wildlife and conservation.
