Ironman Ottawa Virtual Group Training Plan

Due to the success of our Ironman Ottawa Group Program last season, we are launching a new virtual group training program to complete the Ironman in Ottawa in 2026!!

The program is designed by Certified Exercise Physiologist/Head Coach and Ironman U Certified Coach, Julia Aimers on Training Peaks to have you ready to race next Summer. Coach Julia will lead the monthly Zoom call check-ins and keep you on track on all things Ironman training related!

Benefits of the Program Include:

Weekly structured workouts on Training Peaks based on watts, paces and heart rate.

Coached weekly tracking of workouts, heart rates, paces and watts and weekly comments.

$14/month Training Peaks Premium membership PLUS Training Peaks Virtual Ride Platform.

Recorded Zoom Meet-Up with Coach Julia, monthly on a Sunday morning at 9:00am.  (These meetings will be a check-in on training, Q and A, and on specific Ironman related topics.)

Access to live group classes on Training Peaks Virtual and Discord 6:30am OR 8:00am Thursday & 8:00am Saturday or Tuesday/Thursdays at 8am. These classes can also be done on your own time/schedule.

Access to the 70.3 Group Meet-Up Recordings on Triathlon training related topics or attend live.

Access to our private Ironman Ottawa Facebook page.

Access to preferred pricing for our all inclusive group swim programs.

Pre Requisites:

Smart Bike Trainer or equivalent (we recommend Wahoo Kickr)

Road bike

Can swim 500m continously

Can bike 40km

Can run 10km

Previous triathlon experience is recommended.

Once you have registered for this program, if you are not already a 2025/2026 member of Team Triumph, please come back to the membership tab and add your 25/26 membership to Team Triumph. Your membership includes discounts at local stores, fun social events, cool swag, our wonderful Brenda to help you with any oboarding issues, access to our Team Triumph Insider and Triumph Facebook group for setting group meet-ups, buying, selling and other great information on the local race scene.

Premium Indoor Cycling or Running Program

This program is great for beginners, for those coming back to cycling or running and for experienced athletes who want to focus on increasing their speed and power. After your initial start up meeting with your coach, a customized program will be developed with your weekly schedule and availabilty, goals, specific watts, paces and heart rates in mind. Your program will be placed in your personal coaching calendar on Training Peaks where you will be able to see all of your moveable workouts in one place. These workouts can also connect to your smart watch and bike trainers. Program includes coach Zoom meeting every 3 months and communication via our Training Peaks app., one schedule update per month. Also includes $20 discount to group swim programs, subscription to Training Peaks Premium, and free access to weekly group rides on Training Peaks Virtual Ride Platform if you are on the cycling program.

Initial start up meeting ($95) on Zoom not included in the monthly membership subscription.
