All that is needed to take an actor’s performance skills to the next level is wrapped up into this month-long camp.  Led by former Broadway actress, Kenzie Rosen-Stone and resident director, Lauren Russell, youth participants will receive a high-quality immersion into the performing arts.

Students will work with veteran directors to hone hand-selected songs and monologues, beginning to build an audition repertoire.  They will also take dance classes learning jazz and ballet technique and learn various styles of choreography. These songs, monologues, and dances will be performed as one of three productions to be presented on the Arts HUB stage.

The second production to be performed will be a collection of scenes that the students will write and workshop together focusing on  characterization, scene study, and mastering acting technique.

The final production, The Wizard of Oz, youth edition, will be the main event at the conclusion of the camp. This classic production will allow young actors the opportunity to apply the skills they’ve learned throughout the camp.  All campers will be given strong role opportunities in this production. Camp days will be a mix of focused, fun, theater skill-building activities /performance prep, dance classes, jazz and ballet technique, vocal coaching, and props and set creation. An audition prep website will be available after registration, date TBD.
